DZ-OX™ Portable Oxygen Cylinders

Air Liquide takes pride in being on the cutting edge of new product developments that address our customers’ needs when it comes to safe, quality patient care.  Recently, we were approached by a current EZ-OX^TM customer who loves the product, but noted that the standard E cylinder found in most hospitals is just to large to fit onto an ER crash cart.  They also learned that the various EMS services in the area love the EZ-OX^TM cylinder too.  However, most ambulances run with D cylinders, so the hospital’s E-sized EZ-OX^TM cylinders were not only disappearing from the hospital, but it was creating a sizing and tracking nightmare for the hospital’s inventory management staff.

Air Liquide quickly determined that the easiest solution to both issues would be to offer a D-sized cylinder for ERs and ambulance services.  Thus, the DZ-OX^TM was born.  DZ-OX^TM offers the same integrated valve-regulator assembly found on an EZ-OX^TM, only installed on the smaller D-sized cylinder.  The DZ-OX^TM cylinder fits comfortably inside the confined space of an ambulance and integrates quite easily on most patient transport gurneys.  DZ-OX^TM is also ideal for implementation on a standard ER crash cart as a quick, compact supply of vital, life-saving oxygen.
